Epcot Food & Wine Festival
This year’s festival will take place from Aug. 29 to Nov. 23, 2019. The festival focuses on foods from around the world, marketplaces with different drinks and treats, and demos from celebrity chefs. After sampling your favorite foods, burning it off will be no problem, as the walking distance of the festival is 2.78 miles.
The Second Annual Home of the Brave Virtual 5k Run Walk honors those who choose to dedicate their lives to protect our freedom. The Home of the Brave Virtual 5k Run Walk is to help pay tribute to those individuals and their contribution to keeping our country safe. A portion of your registration will be donated to the charity. You can do the 5K at your own pace, wherever you like to walk or run. Depending on the package you choose, you will receive a medal, dog tag, and/or T-shirt. Click HERE to register.
Cypress Cove 5K
Have you ever streaked? Well, now’s your chance. The Cypress Cove Labor Day 5K is being held at the nudist resort on August 31. Clothing is optional, and the resort is located 30 minutes from Orlando. For more information and to register click here: Cypress Cove 5K
Go For A Swim
If you’re lucky enough to have a pool in your backyard, swimming is a great form of exercise. Swimming is gentle on your joints and you can stay cool while you exercise this weekend.
Walk on the Beach
Head to the beach for the day, but get there early enough to get in a nice walk. The earlier you get to the beach for a walk, the cooler and less crowded it will be. There is usually a nice breeze to accompany your beach walk.
Book A Weekend At A Luxury Resort
Orlando has plenty of amazing hotels and resorts with pools and plenty of activities for everyone. The Waldorf and Four Seasons both have pools to swim laps, golfing facilities and exercise facilities. No matter where you decide to stay, any luxury resort will have amenities for you and your family to stay active this weekend.
